The University of Zambia will this Friday February 10th 2017, host the buy and sell event that occurs termly at the UNZA Great East Road main campus.
This event which will be held at the University Sports Hall showcases the buying and advertising of various commodities among students and other companies and organisations.
The University of Zambia Business and Economics Association (UNZABECA) is responsible for the organisation of this event that is meant to help students buy and sell various products at discounted prices.
As students continue to receive their allowances which is popularly known among students as ‘BC’, this famous activity will entice students to purchase and sell various goods at low prices.
UNZABECA President Chomba Haggai said that this move is aimed at promoting entrepreneurship and business skills among students.
Mr. Haggai added that Patents Companies and Registration Agency (PACRA) will for the first time take part in the event in order to help students easily register for their businesses.
“ZANACO will also be present, targeting all areas in the banking system as well as launch promotions including entrepreneurship loans,” he added.
He further added that, “our main aim is to satisfy student needs at their doorstep and bring various businesses under one roof”.
Mud is also one of the stores that will be part of the event and has continued to grace the event since inception and has become one of the everyday names around campus.
