Lumwana Radiants FC Poised for ZPL comeback

Religated Lumwana Radiants Football Club (LRFC) says it is confident that the team will bounce back to the Zambian Premier League (ZPL) .

Club Administrative Manager Anthony, Tapa says management has gone back to the drawing board to ensure the squad is ready for its National Division One campaign after being relegated from the 2024/25 ZPL season.

“We believe the current team is strong and will compete favourably in the national league, earning promotion back to the ZPL,” Mr Tapa said.

He added that the setbacks of last season have provided valuable lessons, noting that the 2025 season will showcase an excellent brand of football.

Mr. Tapa also confirmed that management is reviewing allegations that a FIFA transfer ban has been imposed on the club.

“We’ll address the issue before the new season kicks off,” he said.

Mr Tapa further urged supporters to remain calm, assuring them that the club will continue to entertain football fans across Zambia.

He acknowledged that teams from the North-Western Province have often fluctuated between promotion and relegation, but emphasized that it is all part of the learning process.
