Copper Queens must work on coordination – Analysts

Sports Analyst  Yotham Mwanza has advised the Copper Queens to work on coordination in order to achieve their goals ahead of friendly games in Europe.

In an interview with Lusaka Star, Mr. Mwanza shared that he noticed some inconsistencies among the  players Barbara Banda, Rachael Kundananji and Grace Chanda during their match against Zimbabwe.

“Coach Bruce Mwape must make use of the friendly tournaments against countries, because they will help improve the skills of the players,” he said.

In agreement with Mr. Mwanza’s statement , Daniel Kaoma who is also a sports analyst added  that when a team lacks coordination, they are at risk of being overrun by the opposition.

“When there is inconsistency, the opposing teams technical bench may spot Zambia’s weakness and use it against them through tactical and technical application,” he said.

Mr. Kaoma highlighted that there is a missing link between the players and he advised them to stop playing selfish.

Similarly, another football analyst Aaron Mubanga highlighted the effects of lacking co-ordination on the team .

“When there is no co-operation in the team, the plyers become frustrated because when one is open and a teammate does not pass the ball, you miss the chance,” he said.

He advised Coach Mwape to implement certain exercises that require cooperation and also find a way to possibly shuffle players and advise them so that they improve in teamwork .

The Copper Queens are scheduled to play friendly matches in Europe against Switzerland, German and Ireland.
