CATHY ARRIVES IN KENYA TO FACE ZARIKA

ZAMBIAN female boxer Catherine Phiri has arrived in Kenya to face that country’s Fatuma Zarika in a WBC bantamweight title fight slated for March 23, 2019 in Nairobi.

Phiri, who is in the company of promoter Chris Malunga and coach Mike Zulu touched down in Kenya at exactly 06:00hrs on Tuesday, March 19, 2019.

“I can confirm that we arrived in Nairobi at 06:00hrs. The reception is excellent than last time,” said Malunga in a short statement.

Phiri, who is a former WBC bantamweight champion, will reclaim her title against Zarika in a rematch fight.

Zarika has however dared the Zambian boxer warning her that the belt is not going anywhere.

But Phiri has maintained her stance that she will teach the 35 year old, mother of two, a boxing lesson she will never forget.
