Elton Mulenga popularly known as Yo maps say he wants to make history as the first Zambian musician to fill up the National Heroes Stadium on may, 27 2023.
According to a Facebook post by his manager Evans Kandeke, the album ‘Try Again’ Launch scheduled to have 60,000 spectators from different parts of the country.
In an interview with Lusaka star, Yo Maps said his goal is to fill up Hero’s Stadium and have the biggest album launch the country will ever have.
“After filling up Heroes Stadium I want to build a musical school in Lusaka where people can learn about music,” he said.
Yo Maps revealed that the album will consist of 12 to 15 song and that the album will feature international artists from various countries.
He said the album is meant to encourage people experiencing difficult situations to not give up but to always try again.
The Zambian hit maker said the launch is a national event and that all the Zambian artists will be present including the president.
“As I said, this is a national event and we are inviting the president. He must show and support me as I launch my album,” said yo Maps.
Meanwhile, Kwitu FM CEO Mukamba Mwenda said they have partnered with Yo Maps because his album is focused on encouraging people facing various challenges.
“We will host a tour to different parts of the country to promote the fill up of Heroes Stadium,” he said.
And a fan of Yo Maps, Lexina Mushingalube said that she is inspired by how the album aims at helping people experiencing difficult situations.
” I like how he is really passionate about helping people, so I’m really looking forward to listening to this album,” she said.
