The university of Zambia technology and advisory unit (TDAU) has pledged to continue taking a leading role in promoting sustainable development through the adaptation of foreign technology and skills.
Speaking at the just ended agriculture and commercial show, TDAU marketing and business development manager, Margret Ngalumina said that the unit will continue investing in technologies that will enhance production of finished goods.
She added that TDAU has so far invested in key industries in the country which includes agriculture, forestry, construction and the energy industry.
“The unit which was established to act as a link between the university of Zambia and various industries has so far invested in key industries in the country such as the construction industry where the interlocking brick making machine is used with the aim of discouraging the burning of bricks which tends to have a negative impact on the environment.” Ngalumina said.
And, Moses Chililio, a representative from TDAU urged entrepreneurs and members of the general public to visit TDAU and find out more about what the unit has for them.
He further, said that the unit has made products which have been adopted by different organizations in the sub region.
TDAU was established in 1975 with the aim of answering different technological challenges faced by different sectors in the country.
