Zambia Under 16 Polocrosse Team to Host UK Team

The Under 16 Zambian Polocrosse team is set to play 3 test matches slated for the 26 to the 27th of this month against the UK Under 16 Polocrosse team. THE Under 16 Zambian Polocrosse team is set to play 3 test matches slated for the 26 to the 27th of July 2013 against the United Kingdom.
 
The games will be hosted by Lusaka South Country Club, and will be played from 12:00 hrs daily.
 
In an interview with The Lusaka Star, Zambia Polocrosse Association Vice Chairman Johan Koekemoer said the team had been training hard and hoped to put up a good performance against their opponents.
 
Koekemoer revealed that  the under 16 teams have only played international games against Zimbabwe and South Africa stating that  the test matches against the UK would be good for their experience.
 
He also revealed that the UK team would bring their own equipment for the tournament except for the horses which were to be loaned from the Zambian Polocrosse membership.
 
Meanwhile, Koekemoer thanked the corporate world for the support they rendered to the team.
 
“Our team is well equipped thanks to generous sponsorship from businesses around Zambia,” he said.
 
The Zambian girl’s team includes Eva Van der Heide, Ellen Van der Heide, Jody Vossen and Lucy Young and the boy’s team include Hidde Elsinga, Hessel Elsinga, Ngeza Kokwe and Pieter duToit.
