Matero Magic Secures One-Year Sponsorship Deal With  BOLABET

Matero Magic Basketball Club has received a major boost after signing a one-year sponsorship deal with betting company BolaBet.

The partnership is aimed at supporting the team’s operations and development.

The deal was officially unveiled in the presence of officials from the National Sports Council of Zambia, the Midlands Basketball Association, and BolaBet.

Speaking during the launch, BolaBet Marketing Specialist Maloly Lukhele said the company is committed to supporting the growth of basketball at the grassroots level.

“We do not only focus on major teams, but we also invest in developing basketball courts to enhance the experience of young players who aspire to play for clubs like Matero Magic,” she said.

And National Sports Council Chief Executive Officer Sombwa Musunsa welcomed the sponsorship, noting that such partnerships are key to advancing the sport.

“Basketball in Zambia is still largely at an amateur level, but through partnerships like this, we are hopeful of moving towards professionalizing the game,” he said.

He further commended BolaBet for its efforts in improving sports infrastructure.

Meanwhile, Zambia Basketball Federation President Maziko Phiri congratulated Matero Magic for securing the deal, describing it as a reward for the dedication shown by the players, management, and club leadership.

The partnership is expected to play a crucial role in strengthening the club’s preparations for the upcoming Basketball Africa League.
