Barclays dedicated to supporting Zambian football

Barclays Bank Zambia on the realm of improving football standards in the country Barclays Bank Zambia Marketing Manager Erick Ngondo has said the bank has pledged to continue supporting football in the country as a way of enhancing the sport.
 
This was said ahead of the Barclays Cup Final clash between Nchanga Rangers and Red Arrows which is slated for Saturday, 23 this month.
 
Speaking at a press briefing at Football house in Lusaka, Ngondo said Barclays would continue to pledge its allegiance to football in the country.
 
“As part of our Corporate Social responsibility, we will continue to support football in Zambia so as to enhance it,” he said.
 
Ngondo also expressed happiness at the strides that football in the country was making following a successful just ended Super League season.
 
Meanwhile, FAZ Communications Manager, Erick Mwanza congratulated Nkana FC for being crowned champions of the MTN FAZ Super League division.
 
He also urged Nkana and league rivals Zesco who finished on second position to put up a stiff challenge when they represent Zambia in the CAF competition next year.
 
Mwanza also revealed that the coach awaits the Barclays Cup Clash to select players who would represent Zambia at the CECAFA Senior Challenge in Kenya next week.
 
 “The coach is planning to select 8 players from Red Arrows and Nchanga Rangers for the Senior Challenge,” he disclosed.
 
The CECAFA Senior challenge competition which is slated for November 27 to December 12 is a football competition that includes national teams from the Council for East and Central Africa football Associations
