The Zambia Volleyball Association (ZAVA) says it is ready to hold the rescheduled Annual General Meeting (AGM) at the University of Zambia (UNZA).
In an interview with Lusaka Star, ZAVA Vice General Secretary Katongo Tiyaonse said the Association is now ready to hold the meeting in which they are to discuss their expectations for this year.
“Our expectations are basically to review last year’s volleyball season which is critical and to create a road map for this year,” she said.
Tiyaonse added that among those expected to attend are the representatatives of various teams and regions with only the fully paid affiliates who are eligible to attend.
Meanwhile, Mumbwa Volleyball Club (MVC) Matron Brenda Mulenga said that the club will send its representative for the AGM despite not paying for affiliation, stating that the club has not started implementing the activities yet.
“We expect reports from the Association on the activities that have been done and strides made to improve the Volleyball Leagues in the country,” Mulenga said.
The much anticipated AGM is slated to take place on Saturday April 22, 2023 at the Confucius Institute of UNZA.
