Graduates of the MultiChoice Talent Factory (MTF) programme say it’s helping drive growth and creativity in Africa’s film and TV industry.
Speaking in an interview with Lusaka Star, MTF 2026 cohort best student Elaine Radipodi, expressed appreciation for receiving the top award.
“I feel very happy, proud and honoured,” she said.
Radipodi said the achievement is expected to create new professional opportunities, adding that her interest in film began at a young age and that being selected into the programme fulfilled a long-held ambition.
She attributed her success to effective time management, discipline and maintaining high-quality output despite demanding conditions.
And another MTF 2026 cohort Graduate Francis Buuma said his internship experience during the programme strengthened his ambition to become a leading film director.
Buuma said working on set for the Zambian television drama Mpali provided him with practical filmmaking experience and exposure to international professionals.
He added that working in Lusaka and collaborating with industry practitioners, including Frank Sibuku, broadened his understanding of the industry and enhanced his technical skills.
Buuma said the experience has motivated him to continue developing his craft in pursuit of becoming one of Africa’s top directors.
