Godfrey Mecha Simuyemba is an upcoming producer who also operates as a DJ in the music industry. Godfrey, also known as DJ Jonz started his work at a very tender age in the year 2013.
Born in 1995 in Lusaka were he did his secondary education and later went to Evelyn hone for his higher education, Godfrey is an exceptional yet inspiring youth who has worked hard to succeed in the field of music and art.
It is through his music that he earns a living and promotes his music career.
“My main aim is to bring out a different perspective from what other producers’ perceive as good material,” Godfrey said.
Godfrey gets his inspiration from a well known artist known as DJ Khaled. He has worked with artists like critic, Alpha Romeo, jay cash, Drifta trek, yellow, Brabi and many others. But all in all he looks up to Breezy.
“I see myself doing great in the next 10 years. I hope to have my own record label one day,” He alluded.
Godfrey further urged the youths as well as upcoming producers to first focus on their education so as to have a backup for their skill.
