Management has granted permission to unregistered students to sit for the mid-year examinations says UNZASU. About 5000 students at the university of Zambia who were unable to register have been given a go ahead to sit for the mid-year examinations.
And the university of Zambia student union (UNZASU) vice president Kapambwe Fredrick said, the request which was filed to the management on 2nd February, 2014 has been approved.
Kapambwe added that management has granted permission to unregistered students to sit for the mid-year examinations which cannot be tolerated during final examinations.
However, Kapambwe said all unregistered students who were considered under hardship loans will not pay penalty fees.
“We have done our level best to ensure that our fellow students who have not registered to write their exams but let not their mind be corrupted that the same will happen during final examinations.” Kapambwe said.
Meanwhile, Deputy Registrar (academics) Rodgers Phiri said the management will still demand the penalty fee which is close to 450 kwacha accumulated from the period registration ended till date.
