FIFTY companies have confirmed participation in this year’s Inter-company Relay that is slated for this Saturday in Lusaka.
Zambia Amateur Athletics Association (ZAAA) president Elias Mpondela said this year’s event promises to be a success.
He said the event will be graced by the vice president Inonge Wina as guest of honour.
Mpondela said about 400 people including the Vice president are expected to take part in the 5 kilometre health walk.
“ We are happy as Zambia Amateur Athletics Association with the response we are getting from the the participants so far, and we expect more to register before Saturday,” Mpondela said.
He said the association is ready to host this year’s memorable Inter-company Relay for the twentieth time.
The relay slated for June 16 is dubbed the Multi-Choice Inter-Company Relay and has the pay TV company as the lead sponsor.
This year marks 20 years since the inception of the health and fitness initiative was launched in 1999.
