UNZA PR Student put to rest

A 19-year-old University of Zambia student from the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations and Advertising under the Department of Media and Communication, has been put to rest.

Mary Mwango, who died on Wednesday after an illness, was laid to rest this afternoon at Chingwere Cemetery in Lusaka.

The burial was preceded by a church service held at the United Church of Zambia, Marrapodi Consistory Israel Congregation in Kabanana.

Ms. Mwango has been described by her family, friends, classmates, and the UNZA community as someone who put God first, was curious and aware of her environment, jovial pppand friendly.

The UNZA Dean of Students’ Representative expressed heartfelt condolences to the Mwango family.

Present at the church service and burial site were representatives from the UNZA Dean of Students’ Office, UNZA Students Union (UNZASU), School of Humanities and Social Sciences Association (UNZAHSSA), and UNZA Media Students Association (UNZAMESA), among others.
