Kalingalinga Clinic gets new Medicine Storage Facility

The construction of a Medicine Storage Facility at Kalingalinga Clinic, which is being built at a cost of over 1 million Kwacha, has commenced.

Kalingalinga Ward 36 Councillor, Mukubesa Nyoni, revealed that the project is being undertaken at a total cost of 1,100,000 Kwacha under the 2025 Constituency Development Fund (CDF).

In an interview with Lusaka Star, Mr. Nyoni said the works will be completed within the next six months, noting that once the facility is completed, it will improve the health standards of Kalingalinga residents, as medicine will no longer be affected during the rainy season.

“The site was handed over to the contractor yesterday, and I hope unskilled labourers from the community will be considered for the jobs. The health facility currently does not have any proper storage facility for medicine and has been using a small office for that purpose,” he said.

“Kalingalinga Health Facility serves thousands of people; therefore, this project is very important to the members of the public.”

Meanwhile, a Kalingalinga resident has commended the councillor and government for prioritising the construction of a medicine storage facility at the clinic.

Precious Mwanza said the community appreciates the new pharmacy being built and thanked the authorities for the effort made.
