Digital Marketing takes over global business 

In a world where most of the global population is online, digital marketing has been the key to unlocking business success.

In this digital landscape, Digital Marketing has been a very effective way used by many people to promote businesses and very convenient for people to sell and buy goods and services across the globe.

According to the Statista Research Department, by 2025 approximately 73.2% to 74% of the global population will be in the digital space, representing over 6 billion internet users.

Digital Marketing helps many businesses and companies to connect with potential customers to promote or sell products using different digital platforms such as social media.

Many people have testified how convenient digital marketing has been looking at the pace from which the world is moving.

According to  the University of Zambia Centre of Communication Technology (CICT) Digital Marketing Instructor Tadashi Lakhi who promotes people’s businesses, explained how digital marketing has been helpful when it comes to audience engagement who are later turned into potential customers.

He emphasized on the convenience  that digital marketing has brought about allowing companies and customers to communicate and improve their businesses based on the customers feedback. 

 “Digital marketing has changed the game from guessing to knowing unlike traditional marketing where you broadcast and hope the audience gets the message,”Lakhi said.

a  Digital marketer, Emmanuel Sakala  shares insights on how it has impacted him with knowledge on how to use different digital platforms across the  globe.

“I believe learning digital marketing will help me boost my CV for my career in the industry, the most valuable skills I have learnt in digital marketing is the ability to generate and run a website and work around social media adverts because they help generate profit, “he said.

He said people have testified about how helpful digital marketing has been.

Meanwhile, a Nigerian E – Commerce Expert , Taiwo Ganiyu  said Digital marketing plays a huge role in his business and daily livelihood.

Taiwo said E-commerce enabled him to reach a global audience, generate revenue and scale multiple online businesses efficiently through data driven strategies and targeted campaigns.

“Digital marketing has been a crucial tool people use to showcase their abilities, goods and services through the digital platforms,” he said .

And  Kasongo Chalwe, a student who uses digital platforms to advertise her business, gives credit to the introduction of this type of marketing.

 “Promoting my products on these platforms helps me to get a lot of customers from different places and it’s been convenient for me as a student because all I do is post my products and people who are interested get in touch with me,” Kasongo said.

He said digital marketing continues to reshape how businesses operate, it’s clear the future is online.

E-commerce is now the global phenomenon that needs all plays in an economy to fully understand and participate.
