Buy genuine phones – Samsung

Fake products are not only cheap but wear out easily. They also create a negative image of the company manufacturing the product Samsung Africa Technical Support employee, Mark Berriman, has advised the public to buy genuine mobile products regardless of the make or brand as fake products are not only cheap but wear out easily.

Speaking during the Smart Care Campaign week where people had their various Samsung products serviced for free, Mr. Berriman said people lose a lot of money when they buy fake products.

He said people should buy handsets from reputable mobile shops as it has been noticed that a lot of fake handsets can be bought cheaply off the streets.

“We have received fake Samsung phones but we are unable to service them because they are not genuine and we don’t have the spare parts. Regardless of the make, people should learn to buy genuine products from reputable mobile companies,” he said.

Mr. Berriman said fake products create a negative image of the company manufacturing the product.

“I am a technician and it hurts me if I can’t help a customer who brings in a fake product,” he added.

He further called on other mobile phone companies to take care of their customers as customers were the reason their businesses existed.

Mr Berriman also appealed to other mobile companies to empower students by giving them free services so that they can stay in touch with other people and be able to communicate easily.

“We enjoy what we are doing and I want other mobile companies to emulate us and probably do more than what we have done so far,” Mr. Berriman urged.

He disclosed that Samsung would like to work with students worldwide because they are the leaders of tomorrow.
