Content Creators Say Love Not Content Drives Their Online Relationships.

Several content creators have stated that their decision to share aspects of their relationships on social media is motivated by genuine affection rather than a desire to gain followers or generate content.

Lusaka-based content creator Beatrice Mumbi, popularly known as Chi Lizzy, said in an interview that her online posts about her relationship are not intentional efforts to attract attention.

“I do not put my relationship on social media with my husband because our relationship has always been like that even before marriage,” she said.

Mumbi explained that her relationship is grounded in love rather than content creation and noted that she avoids engaging with public commentary about her marriage.

“I avoid engaging with social media commentary about my marriage,” she said, adding that she does not entertain opinions about her relationship online.

Meanwhile, fellow content creator Ian Kalumba, also known as Kopala Kenzo, said his posts are similarly driven by genuine emotion rather than strategy.

“I post my relationship on social media not for the sake of content but for love,” he said.

Kalumba emphasized that the strength of a relationship is not determined by its presence online.

“Relationships are not strengthened by social media, but by the people involved,” he said.

Their remarks come amid ongoing debates about the role of social media in shaping perceptions of modern relationships, particularly among online personalities.
