The Limitless Foundation has launched its NextGen Kings Boys Club at Living Hope Foundation, in a bid to mentor boys from vulnerable communities into responsible and confident young men.
The initiative provides a safe and engaging environment to inspire personal growth, mentorship, and positive behavioural change.
Speaking at the launch, Limitless Foundation Executive Director Mrs. Njavwa T. Bwalya said the programme aims to raise a generation of boys who are respectful, self-aware, and supportive of gender equality.
“Foundation’s commitment to raising a generation of boys who are respectful, self-aware, and supportive of gender equality,” Mrs. Bwalya said.
She stressed that empowering boys is key to building safer communities and achieving long-term social transformation.
Speaking at the same event,Zambian Children Young People and Women in Development (ZCYPWD) Executive President Derrick Sinjela welcomed the move, saying that it is encouraging to see women-focused advocacy organisations extend support to the boy child.
“This promotes inclusivity and recognises that boys also face unique challenges, especially since many interventions have largely targeted the girl child,” Sinjela said.
Meanwhile,Young Boy Awake Mental Health Coordinator Abigail Phiri, described the initiative as timely and commendable.
She stressed that they have been calling for such partnerships to support the boy child.
Phiri added that the programme would help bridge gaps by providing positive role models while promoting gender equality and mutual understanding.
“The future of the boy child is in danger if we do not wake up and support them, it is already evident that they are being left behind,” she warned, urging other NGOs to join the effort.
The launch of NextGen Kings marks a milestone in the Limitless Foundation’s drive to promote inclusive development and strengthen community-based support systems for young people.
