Lifestyle Creator Highlights Faith as Essential in Entertainment Industry Survival.

Lifestyle Content Creator and Influencer Kondwani Mwanji, popularly known as Koko Comedy, has highlighted the importance of maintaining faith while navigating fame in Zambia’s entertainment industry.

Zambian entertainers say balancing a thriving career with strong religious values is not only achievable but essential for both personal and professional growth.

Speaking in an interview, Mwanji said individuals can remain true to their beliefs while still attaining fame, noting that personal choices play a key role in shaping one’s path.

“There are two types of people we meet in this life, either they bring you down or lift you up,” he said. “I have stayed strong to what I believe in, which is God.”

He added that opportunities in the entertainment industry often come with difficult decisions, but individuals must choose what aligns with their values.

“There are a lot of opportunities that go against my beliefs, but I have a choice to choose,” he said.

Mwanji further noted that in today’s entertainment landscape, fame has become closely tied to success, making it a significant factor for those in the industry.

In a separate interview, fellow entertainer Chewe Mutale, widely known as Solontoni Comedy, said his content is designed to deliver moral lessons while entertaining audiences.

Mutale explained that his portrayal of a thief in his comedy skits is intended to discourage wrongdoing and educate viewers.

He added that despite his involvement in entertainment, he remains committed to his faith and prioritizes attending church.

“When it is time for church, I go. That is another way of showing that my faith still remains,” he said.

Mutale also revealed that his parents initially disapproved of his comedy career due to its perceived conflict with their beliefs. However, they later accepted it after recognizing the positive message behind his work.

He emphasized the importance of balancing time between spiritual commitments and professional responsibilities.

“Fame is important, but faith is also important because it is the key to success,” he said.

The remarks from the entertainers reflect a growing trend among public figures who are striving to align their careers with their personal beliefs, even as they navigate the demands and visibility of the entertainment industry.
