Vegetable traders at the University of Zambia (UNZA) have defied management’s order to vacate by seeking refuge under the institution’s fly-over bridge.
The traders, who are commonly known by students as ‘UNZA Veg’, have since appealed to management to rescind its decision.
They have lamented that ever since they were driven out of the campus, profit margins have been very slim.
The traders wondered how they would fend for their families now that their only source of income has been disturbed.
They have appealed to management to consider finding a conducive location where they would be conducting their businesses from since the Lusaka City Council has ordered them to vacate the current trading spot.
