A University of Zambia (UNZA) economics lecturer says agriculture can be a major source of foreign exchange if it was given more attention by government and other stakeholders. In an interview with Lusaka star, Mr. Abson Chompolola said the country had the capacity to develop the agricultural sector to a point where it could contribute to the development of the country by bringing in the much needed foreign exchange.
THE University of Zambia (UNZA) will this year host and participate in three major sports tournaments. Among the sporting activities include the African Staff Sports Association (SAUSSA), the Confederation of Universities and Colleges Association (CUCSA) and the Zambia Federation of University and College sports (ZAFUCS) tournaments.
THE University of Zambia Students Union (UNZASU) has said the introduction of University of Zambia (UNZA) inter-hostel football league will encourage students to participate in sports at the institution. ZAMBIA has successfully handed over the Kavango Zambezi Trans Frontier Conservation Area (KAZA TFCA) Chairpersonship to Zimbabwe as a coordinating country for KAZA TFCA programmes for the next two years commencing January 2013. The Bank of Zambia has intensified its nationwide campaign aimed at sensitizing the public on the rebasing of the local currency.
