Gospel Artist Lolavye Simukoko, popuarly known as Lo Sims, says his long awaited first studio album is set to hit the airwaves before the end of 2015.

Lo Sims told to the Lusaka  Star in an interview that the 12 track album will be dubbed 'Enlightened'.

‘‘The date the album  will officially be launched has not yet been set because I am still working on some of the tracks. But before the year ends, the album will be ready,’’ he says.

The 21 year old hip hop gospel artist explains that Enlightened is a transition from his 'Path Revealed' mixtape.

"My mix-tape, A Path Revealed, tells a story about the struggles I have gone through. God revealed the path I was to take for me to live a righteous life. So, afterwards, I have now been enlightened by Jesus Christ. I now have to shine that light to others," he states.

Lo Sims assures his fans that Enlightened would impact their lives positively.

"It is a spirit filled album with a message of enlightenment. I can not wait for my fans to listen to the songs," he says.

Meanwhile, Lo Sims has challenged his fellow artists all over the country to preach messages of unity through their songs.

He said music is a powerful tool that artists could use to bring about oneness in the country.

‘‘I believe music is an influential tool in society. It is used to disseminate different kinds of messages that shape behaviour. As artists, we can send positive messages. We can be initiators of that positive change that is desired in society,’’ he notes.

Lo Sims, who is also a University of Zambia third year Mass Communication student, urges the youth to be cautious of the type of music they listen to.

"As music is powerful enough to influence behaviour, the youth should filter their playlists. They should avoid music that corrupts their morals," he advises.
