NKANA’S hope to move further away from the MTN Super League relegation zone have been thwarted by a one all draw with Red Arrows. Nkana, who were sitting on 17 points before the game would have easily escaped relegation zone with an outright win climbing up to ninth position on the log table. The draw sees Nkana retaining the 12th position with 18 points, one behind 13th placed National Assembly who have a game in hand.
THE 2005 Zambian Charity Shield winners, Red Arrows F.C are ready for their forth-coming final clash against the MTN Super League Champions Nkana F.C in the Samuel Zoom Ndhlovu charity shield tie. The match which is slated for the 22nd of February this year will be hosted at Arthur Davis Stadium in Kitwe. In an interview with the Lusaka Star, Red Arrows team captain and recently crowned 2013 Zambian footballer of the year, Bronson Chama said the team was well prepared for the match.
MTN Super League Champions Nkana F.C are ready for their forthcoming clash against Mbabane Swallows of Swaziland in the CAF Champions league. Speaking in an interview with the Lusaka Star, Nkana team manager Charles Chakatazya said the boys are well prepared for the first leg match to be played on 9th February, 2014 at the Somhlolo National Stadium in Lobamba, Swaziland. “We are ready and are just winding up with the preparations for the match against Swallows,” he said.
Barclays Bank Zambia Marketing Manager Erick Ngondo has said the bank has pledged to continue supporting football in the country as a way of enhancing the sport. This was said ahead of the Barclays Cup Final clash between Nchanga Rangers and Red Arrows which is slated for Saturday, 23 this month. Speaking at a press briefing at Football house in Lusaka, Ngondo said Barclays would continue to pledge its allegiance to football in the country.
