THE Lusaka Water and Sewerage Company (LWSC) is in the process of implementing the ‘water supply and sanitation’ project in Lusaka, says LWSC public relations manager Topsy Sikalinda. Mr. Sikalinda confirmed this development in a walking interview with the Lusaka Star. He said the project is meant to improve water supply and sanitation in some parts of Lusaka.

A University of Zambia (UNZA) television set stationed at Kafue Common Room has been stolen by unknown people. University of Zambia Students’ Union (UNZASU) Sports Secretary Nevers Simweemba reported the matter to the security offices. Mr. Simweemba, who is also in charge of recreation, said he last saw the television set in the common room on 25th January, 2015.

Konkola Copper Mines (KCM) Plc and the Mwekera National Aquaculture Research and Development Centre (NARDC) have restocked the Kafue river with 20, 000 fingerlings to replenish depleted stocks. KCM Executive Director,  David Ng’andu says the company had between 2008 and this year restocked rivers on the Copperbelt with over 80, 000 fingerlings.
