University of Zambia Students Union (UNZASU) President Martin Muluya has charged that government has failed to effectively run public tertiary learning institutions. Mr. Muluya said the ministry of education has failed to deliver the needs of students from various public learning institutions.

However, PF has maintained that the party has delivered to the expectations of the Zambians adding that the party is here to stay. Speaking in a phone interview with the Lusaka Star, political activist Dante Saunders said the PF had failed to run the affairs of the country as evidenced by the rising cost of living.

PRESIDENT Edgar Chagwa Lungu has re-affirmed Zambia’s position on the implementation and realisation of all Southern African Development Community (SADC) protocols and programs in order to enhance development in the region. Speaking in Botswana Gaborone during the 35th SADC summit for heads of state and governments, president Lungu said the Zambian government supports the initiative aimed at broadening the markets under the free trade areas.
