THE Ministry of Education, Science, Vocational Training and Early Childhood has launched the University of Zambia (UNZA) Graduate School of Business. Minster of Education Michael Kaingu said despite UNZA’s contribution towards training professionals in business courses been limited, he is hopeful that the graduate school will place UNZA in the spotlight in terms of providing quality education in business. Dr. Kaingu said this in a speech read on his behalf by Ministry of Education deputy minister Sydney Mushanga.

A Political Activist has urged Zambians to brace themselves for harder times to come under the Patriotic Front (PF) government. However, PF has maintained that the party has delivered to the expectations of the Zambians adding that the party is here to stay. Speaking in a phone interview with the Lusaka Star, political activist Dante Saunders said the PF had failed to run the affairs of the country as evidenced by the rising cost of living.

FOUNDATION for Democratic Process (FODEP) has accused Law enforcements agencies of being incompetent in handling court cases. The FODEP executive director MacDonald Chipenzin said this in an interview with the Lusaka Star in reference to the recent acquittal of former Zambia Railways Limited managing director Clive Chirwa by the Lusaka Magistrate court for two counts of abuse of authority of office and one count of failing to declare interest.

ZAMBIA has seen this year seen an increase in financial inclusion among the adult population, the 2015 Finscope Survey has recorded. Speaking when he presented the findings during a one day e-money card and payments summit, Bank of Zambia (BoZ) deputy governor Bwalya Ng’andu, revealed that financial inclusion among the adult population had increased from 37.3 percent in 2009 to 59.3 percent this year.

Speaking in Botswana Gaborone during the 35th SADC summit for heads of state and governments, president Lungu said the Zambian government supports the initiative aimed at broadening the markets under the free trade areas.
