KAUNDA CONFIDENT DESPITE LOSS

High Flying Nkwazi football coach Chris Kaunda said he remains confident despite suffering his first lose since taking over at the club.

Kaunda who had previously recorded three consecutive wins in his last four fixtures met his first loss in a 2-1 defeat to Lusaka Dynamos in the MTN FAZ week 12 fixture played at Edwin Imboela Stadium in Lusaka’s Sikanze police camp.

When asked about what he made of the game in which his team had some good opportunities to score, Kaunda remained optimistic.

“It’s the name of the game, we had our chances, we did not utilise them, what do you expect, if you don’t score then you will be punished for not utilizing the chances,” he said.

Moving forward, Kaunda stated that he had noted a few small things which need simple correction.

“We will go back to our tactical approach, re-organise a few things and it will be done,” Kaunda said.

Meanwhile, Lusaka Dynamos Coach Danny Kabwe was full of praise for his team after coming out victorious against a confident Nkwazi.

“…the game was tough, we were playing a team that had gone four games without losing, they were confident, they meant business, but what we told ourselves is that this is a game we must win to bring up the confidence and stay in the competition, and that’s what we did,” said Kabwe.

This loss sees Nkwazi drop to eighth position with 20 points and Lusaka Dynamos occupying the ninth position carrying 18 points.

In other selected fixtures, Nkana missed a chance to go second in the log when they drew with KYSA 2-2, with Green Buffaloes earlier thrashing defending champions Zesco 2-0.

Elsewhere, Power Dyanamos needed a late equalizer from the penalty spot to draw 1-1 with Napsa, while Red Arrows drew 1-1 Forest Rangers.

Other results saw Kabwe Warriors beating Lumwama Radiants 3-1, with Zanaco capitalizing on poor form Monze Swallows to win 1-0.

Nakambala Leopards were beaten 0-2 at home by Buildcon.
