All roads led to Mulungushi International Conference Center as the electrifying African lion popularly known as Pompi, proved once again that he is a giant killer.
The show was opened with pieces of poetry by Jesse and Magnifire and music by Triple M with a song titled 'Bika danci'.
The launch included celebrity guest performances by Mag44, Abel Chungu Musukwa, Musukwa Musukwa (Abel Chungu Musukwa's elder brother who is an upcoming gospel artist) and Malawian artist Tulani.
Mag44, who is also Pompi's producer, made the audience dance and singing along to his latest single 'Apologize' which features America's gospel artist Sho Barak.
The atmosphere changed from hyped to worship as the singers lead the crowd in worship with a selection of Jesus Culture and Hillsong tracks that saw many people give their lives to Christ.
Finally the man of the hour appeared on stage and the crowd was filled with excitement as it sang along to all his tunes off his previous album, his new songs were also received with a lot of enthusiasm.
All eyes were on Pompi as he set the stage on fire with his true African beats with people singing along to his new tracks Peace be still, Zuhile and Simplified which were released on the 'Itsretunes.com' website prior to the launch on the album.
Speaking at the launch, Pompi explained that the Album title 'Broken English' depicts how many people shy away from doing Gods’ work saying they are “unqualified”.
“Moses in the Bible told God that he could not be sent to speak to Pharoah since he used to stammer. God still used him in spite of his speech impediment,”
"Even with his poor speech, God used Moses. The same goes to us, even with our broken English, God can still use us to minister to people," explained the 2014 Zambia Music Awards Best Male Gospel artist winner.
