Vegetable traders who conduct their businesses within the University of Zambia (UNZA) premises have defied management’s order to vacate the premises, by seeking refuse under the institution’s fly-over bridge.
The traders, who are commonly known by students as ‘UNZA Vege’ , have since appealed to management to resend its decision.
They have lamented that ever since they were driven out of the campus, profit margins have been very slim.
The traders wondered how they would be fending for their families now that their only source of income has been disturbed.
They have asked management to consider finding a conducive location where they would be conducting their businesses from, since the Lusaka City Council has ordered them to vacate the current trading spot.
