Good Hair: One of Lusaka’s fastest growing beauty salons, Top Hat, opens its newest branch at UNZA main campus. Top Hat Salon, one of Lusaka's fastest growing beauty salons, has opened a branch at the University of Zambia (UNZA) Main Campus.
Salon proprietor and manager, Milimo Mulilo, told the Lusaka Star in an interview that she was prompted to open a salon at the University because she lacked good hair services when she was a student at the institution.
“This is my way of giving back to the UNZA community. When I was here, we never had a salon that offered quality hair services and it was frustrating,” she said.
Ms. Mulilo also noted that business was good so far and the response from the students was impressive.
She explained that she would work hard to keep her customers happy since there was another salon at UNZA which also offered the same services as Top Hat.
One of Top Hats' customers, Hope Zimba, who just had her hair plaited at the time of the interview, applauded the workers at the salon and described the services offered as excellent.
Cullen Mudenda, also a student at UNZA, said having two salons on campus will save female students the trouble of going all the way to town centre to do their hair.
Top Hat is a beauty salon which offers various services such as hair braiding and weaving and has branches around Lusaka City.
