A lecturer at the University of Zambia in the school of Mining says Zambia should benefit fully from its Mines. In an interview with Lusaka star Dr Mathews Mphande said the country has never fully benefited from its mining sector because of certain individuals who are selfish. “We shall never see the goodness of having mines as a country if we do not change the way things are done,” he said.
A University of Zambia (UNZA) economics lecturer says agriculture can be a major source of foreign exchange if it was given more attention by government and other stakeholders. In an interview with Lusaka star, Mr. Abson Chompolola said the country had the capacity to develop the agricultural sector to a point where it could contribute to the development of the country by bringing in the much needed foreign exchange.
PLANS by the Oasis Cafeteria stationed at the University of Zambia (UNZA) main campus to start using the Siwela Lecture Hall has been received with mixed feelings by the student populace. Oasis Cafeteria management are in talks with the Registrar’s Office over the possibility of using the Siwela Lecture Hall as part of the cafeteria.
